Dublin, 20 April 2017: Datalex plc (ISE: DLE), a leading provider of digital commerce and retail solutions to the travel industry, is to open a new centre of excellence in Manchester as part of its global expansion.
The company currently employs 30 travel retail experts at 55 Spring Gardens in the centre of Manchester, and plans to double this workforce over the next 2 years. Datalex enables a travel marketplace of over one billion shoppers covering every corner of the globe, driven by some of the world’s most innovative airline retail brands including Lufthansa Group, JetBlue Airways and Air China.
The new Manchester office comes after Datalex last year announced extensive growth plans including the creation of 200 jobs across its global network of offices.
55 Spring Gardens will house a range of expertise for Datalex and its global customer base, developing key skills in software delivery for travel retailers, expertise in Java and Java-related web technologies, application support, automation testing and fares specialisations.
As part of the launch, business leaders, politicians, the Datalex Board and senior management will gather at 55 Spring Gardens on Thursday, April 20. They will be joined by former Manchester United footballer Kevin Moran as special guest.
